Past Pets

This is where I will showcase my darling guinea pigs who have moved on to the next world. The newest pictures are at the top.

Black and White Satin Crested Boar - This little guy was not with me very long. He was just one month old when he died. I believe he had trouble digesting food, as it was when he was weaned that he got sick. He died very suddenly, while I was out for a few hours.

Malt Vinegar

From Liquorice and Maxwell Silverhammer, Malt Vinegar was chocolate and a teddy carrier. She appeared to have some silvering, but her belly looked like a roan or dalmation. Sadly, she died while giving birth, when I was away at a show. Her two babies survived.

 Liqourice

This was the only living pup of Butterscotch and Pepper.

She was a lemon agouti with a white blaze and some poor white patching on her sides. She was not show quality, but I was hoping to get some good litters from her. Sadly, she died about a week before her second litter was due. She died on January 22, 2010, from unknown reasons.

 Summer Playdate

While on summer vacation from college, I brought home my two ladies, and we took them out to play with Snow and Wilbur, the boars belonging to my sister and me. This is the only picture I can find of them, and the camera quality is VERY poor. Clockwise from the top: Petra, white crested with white patches, Wilbur, Abyssinian. His other eye had a black patch. Princess, lilac and orange parti-coloured with a white crest, and Snow, Red-Eyed White, with long hair, but not as long as a normal Silkie.

unexpected additions

These were the babies that were born after buying a new female at a pet store. Little did I know she was pregnant when I bought her. As she was a Red-eyed white, these obviously did not share her colouring. All were black and red. After moving back home from college, I gave these away.

Surprise!

While on summer break from college, I brought my two darling girls home with me. Princess must have spent some time with Snow, because these two girls showed up in the cage a few months later. The white one died probably from a fall from a tipped over food bin, but I can't remember what happened to the dark one. She must have been one of the ones that were given away.

I have more pictures to come once I obtain a working scanner.
